Disclaimer: All donations ie. sponsorship, purchase of products and general contributions given to our charity are non-refundable. We use 100% of the all donations to care for the children in Uganda when money is transferred to the school its used to provide for the daily needs of the kids therefore it can't be returned to a donor. Thanks for understanding.

RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR BEING A SPONSOR.

1. No personal contact is allowed to a student , you can mail a letter to them but your

home address and last name will NEVER be revealed for your own safety and privacy.

2. Do not contact a child's school or family members. Reason being

(schools have hundreds of students so they will not have much info on your student or their well being )

Those questions should be sent to us and our Ugandan staff will do a home visit if a child is

unwell or if they miss school often. We also don't want to encourage any sort of begging.

If a child , their relatives, neighbors or school staff have access to your email address, phone number, or any social media page the temptation will be too great for them to begin asking for each and every desire and this will become overwhelming very quickly to most sponsors. If a sponsor disobey's these rules
for any reason and contacts a student on social media or calls/emails their school then

the sponsor will be asked to leave our program because we simply can't use our meager resources to

go to various schools or neighborhoods to verify whatever info a sponsor is given by a child or their school.

This would take many hours and we have to use our time wisely. Begging or manipulation to get extra gifts

or assistance from a sponsor is not what our program is about.

3. When we have been made aware of simple needs of your sponsored child such as needing

medicine, school supplies or food at home we will discuss this with you but we don't want anyone to feel obligated to provide gifts beyond (tuition).

4. An older student will write letters 2-3 times a year and provide a report card 1-2 times per year. This is

a rule they must abide by so we know how they are progressing. If a child or their family is unwilling to abide

by this then they will be asked to leave .

5. We don't have any child's birth date on record. Parents typically give birth at home

so they don't often remember the exact day or year their kids are born. Many families have 5-8

children on average and birthdays are not celebrated because these people are living in deep poverty and are simply trying to survive day to day.

Sponsor a child

Also if you have chosen a child be sure to tell us the child's name in your email.

For $15 a month you can sponsor a child in need. (Only for younger kids in PRIMARY SCHOOL !!! NOT SECONDARY SCHOOL. )

This will provide them with school fees, (which help pay salaries for the teachers)

NOTE: school supplies ie. notebooks, pencils, math sets, school socks, a bath towel, hygiene items

backpacks, and a mosquito net can be bought through one time donations to your child.

Or you can give donations at Christmas time or on their birthday to provide the child with some of the things

they may be lacking at home. At your request we can provide you with a price list of these items because

prices change often in Uganda.

The child will also get 2 meals at school each day .

We as a charity make sure that 100% of your donation goes to the schools to help the children. Keep in mind though that when you give with pay pal they will deduct a small percentage from any amount donated, as per the rules of their company.

You will receive photos of most gifts that are provided to your sponsored child.
